Guided fishing trips
A guided trip is a great way to get into the sport of fly-fishing or hone your skills as an angler. Depending on river conditions and your preferences, guided fly-fishing takes place on a variety of rivers in the Helena/Missoula area via drift boat, raft, or walk & wade access. Full days (6-8 hours) include a streamside lunch, non-alcoholic drinks, all necessary flies/gear, and transportation to and from the river. Half days (4-5 hours) include snacks, nonalcoholic drinks, all necessary flies/gear, and transportation to and from the river. Not included: appropriate clothing, lodging, and guide gratuity. Guests are also responsible for purchasing a Montana fishing license ahead of time, which can be done here: https://ols.fwp.mt.gov/

Rivers we fish
The Missouri River

The Missouri is a tailwater river known for its abundant wild trout population and prolific insect hatches. Large fish, consistent dam-released flows, and quality habitat make the Missouri one of the West's greatest trout fisheries, presenting anglers with the opportunity to pursue rainbow and brown trout with a variety of techniques, from technical dry flies, to large streamers, to standard nymph patterns. With 35 miles of prime trout water, the Missouri offers a diverse range of scenery, meandering through striking canyons and rolling plains. Trips on the Missouri take place in a drift boat, beginning and ending near the town of Craig, Montana, north of Helena.
The Blackfoot River

The Blackfoot is a scenic freestone river characterized by crystal-clear water, boulder-strewn canyons, mild whitewater runs, and beautiful, wild trout. Larger stonefly hatches make this river a dry-fly attraction for beginner and expert anglers alike, and the opportunity to catch a native cutthroat trout is an experience worth chasing. Trips on the Blackfoot River typically take place in a raft and begin and end near the town of Ovando, Montana, a short drive from Helena and Missoula.
Small Streams, Walk & Wade Opportunities

In addition to float trips on the Missouri and Blackfoot, we offer options to explore smaller, lesser-known streams on foot in search of hungry trout and adventure. Wade-fishing is a great way to incorporate a scenic hike into your day and improve your skills for realistic DIY fishing scenarios.
