Hey there! I'm Micah Fields, owner and operator of Pretty Good Outfitters. I'm glad you're here! Here's a bit about me and my business:

I started PGO with the dream to build a guide service centered around inclusion, education, and GOOD TIMES. For me, that means openly advocating for bringing underrepresented identities into the outdoors and the sport of fly fishing. This includes folks of all abilities and ages, people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, newcomers to outdoor recreation, and people of all economic backgrounds. In short, PGO is a big tent and I want EVERYONE under it.

In addition to working as a guide since 2021, I've built a career as a writer, educator, and progressive advocate for public lands, waters, and wildlife. I'm a Marine Corps combat veteran dedicated to public service and community engagement, and I love creating spaces where people feel confident and joyful in the outdoors. PGO is a culmination of of my lifelong passions as a conservationist, teacher, and angler.

PGO is your one-stop-shop for guided fly fishing and outdoor education in Helena, Montana. We operate guided fly fishing trips on the Missouri and Blackfoot Rivers, as well as various small stream walk/wade options in the area.
